A comfortable one bar pub, the recently-redecorated Waverley is steaming ahead with it's dedicated team of staff who are flying the flag for real ale.Greene King’s Abbot Ale and Tribute are ever-presents, with an eclectic selection of guest beers appearing on the other two pumps.For cider drinkers there are Thatcher’s Gold, Dry and Heritage – the latter being an unfiltered brew - , while lager fans can choose from Fosters, San Miguel and Korev. There is also draught Guinness and a range of wines.
The Waverley holds a popular Monday night quiz, when tables and seats are at a premium, and stages a range of charity events, being the RNLI top fund raising Pub of 2011 raising over £2.600.This year so far they have helped to raise over £4.000 for Breast Cancer Research which is a phenomenal amount for such a small close knit community Pub.
The pub also has a large beer garden which leads to an unusual function room which is venue for the occasional beer festival and musical event.
